Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
BookCompute, Inc. ("BookCompute", "we", "us") operates the BookCompute AI Compute Marketplace at bookcompute.com. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have. It is maintained by BookCompute and applies to all public pages, the customer portal, the provider portal and our APIs.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, hashed password or OAuth identifier, organisation.
- Usage data: pages viewed, searches, RFQs, reservations, watchlist entries, alerts.
- Provider data: for provider members — company details, region, GPU inventory, published prices.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device, log timestamps, error traces.
- Communications: emails, support tickets, feedback you send us.
3. How we use data
To provide the marketplace, authenticate you, price and match compute offers, run RFQs and reservations, send transactional and alert emails, secure the platform, comply with legal obligations and improve BookCompute. We do not sell personal data.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Performance of contract (account, orders, RFQs), legitimate interests (product analytics, fraud prevention, security), consent (marketing, non-essential cookies) and legal obligation (tax, accounting, requests from authorities).
5. Sharing & subprocessors
We share the minimum data needed with vetted subprocessors: cloud hosting and database (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), email delivery, error monitoring, analytics and — where you place an order or RFQ — the compute provider you selected. A current list is available on request at privacy@bookcompute.com.
6. International transfers
Data may be processed in the EU and the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
7. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and up to 24 months after closure for legal and accounting purposes. Logs and analytics are retained for up to 12 months. You can request earlier deletion — see section 9.
8. Security
Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, role-based access, row-level security on all customer tables, audit logs and least-privilege service accounts. No system is perfectly secure — report vulnerabilities to security@bookcompute.com.
9. Your rights
Access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and — where processing relies on consent — withdrawal at any time. Contact privacy@bookcompute.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session security, and optional analytics cookies you can decline. See the cookie banner for details.
11. Children
BookCompute is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
12. Changes
We will post material changes on this page and, where required, notify you by email.
